Layton, Utah, September 24, 2021 – KIHOMAC has celebrated the delivery of its 400th A-10 Universal Rudder to the US Air Force. KIHOMAC was able to deliver the product on time, despite significant obstacles such as an earthquake, hurricane-force winds, and the COVID-19 pandemic. “KIHOMAC recognizes the importance of a strong supply chain. Our ability to deliver our product on-schedule is a demonstration of KIHOMAC’s dedication to supporting the mission of the United States military,” stated KIHOMAC President Adam Grimm. KIHOMAC’s universal rudders have eliminated 400 MICAP hours a month, returning 1.5 squadrons of aircraft to serviceability, all while reducing the amount of maintenance required in the field for the US Air Force’s A-10 fleet. In conjunction with this event, KIHOMAC has also revealed their new 10,000 square-foot aircraft hangar. The newly-constructed hangar will allow KIHOMAC to host aircraft for integration testing and subsequently will increase KIHOMAC’s Air Force support capabilities significantly.
These key milestones were only possible because of direct engagement and great partnerships between KIHOMAC, Hill Air Force Base, and the state and local community leadership. Attendees of the event included Joy Petro (Layton City Mayor), Randy Elliot (Davis County Commissioner), and Lorene Kamalu (Davis County Commissioner).
