includes extensive experience with software design, development of flight and safety critical systems (DO-178).
Increased Capabilities, Minimal Modification
Using modules aligned with FACETM Technical Standard 2.1, in cooperation with Edgewater Computer Systems, Inc. (ECSI), KIHOMAC has demonstrated high-definition video transmitted between two COTS units over decades-old aircraft wiring while coexisting with legacy traffic. This solution provides an innovative route to supporting high-bandwidth devices on legacy platforms, offering up to 100 Mbps in bandwidth without expensive rewiring. The use of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment allows for urther cost-saving opportunities. Alignment with the FACETM Technical Standard allows for stronger interoperability and reuse of central computer interface and NFS client-embedded code on future development efforts.
